Crestone Peak

7/19/2008 This is a panorama from the trail of Crestone Peak looking up the red (south) gully. This is taken from a good stopping point on the trail where it begins to turn northeast into the bowl to the south of the two Crestones. The red gully had much snow in it as of July 2008. |

Crestone Needle

7/17/2008 This is a panorama from within the lower east gully of Crestone Needle. This is a look south over the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. The large group of peaks in the distance to the right of center is the Blanca group. The loner peak on this group's left is Mt. Lindsey. The tallest point in the middle is Blanca Peak, the very tiny point just to the right of Blanca is Ellingwood Point, and the slightly large point just to its right is Little Bear Peak. |
Humboldt Peak

7/18/2008 This is a panorama from the trail of Humboldt Peak looking at Broken Hand Peak, Broken Hand Pass, Crestone Needle, and even Crestone Peak. Crestone Needle is the obvious peak in the middle of the picture. Crestone Peak is off to its right with the divided summit. Broken Hand Peak is the shorter darker summit to the left of the lower saddle to the left of the Needle. That low point is Broken Hand Pass, as of mid July 2008 there was still much snow to be crossed in the Pass. |

7/18/2008 This is a panorama from just above the saddle on Humboldt Peak. The two Crestones are very obvious and dramatic peaks just left of center. The grassy area straight ahead and to the right of center is called the Bear's Playground. And behind the Bear's Playground is the taller and shadowed peak of Kit Carson. |

7/18/2008 This is a panorama from near the summit of Humboldt Peak looking south over the South Colony Lakes basin. The lakes are not seen in this photo but the incredible peaks lining the south side of this basin. The nearest peaks in order are Marble Mountain, Milwaukee Peak, Broken Hand Peak, Crestone Needle, Crestone Peak. What a sight! |
Missouri Mountain

7/21/2008 This is a panorama of Missouri Mountain which is the high point in the dark area towards the left-hand side of the picture. The seemingly higher peaks in the picture are unnamed 13ers along Missouri's summit ridge. |
Mount Princeton

7/20/2008 This is a panorama from the summit of Mt. Princeton looking to the northeast. The main peak in the middle of the photo, just right of center is Mount Yale. The next major set of peaks to the right of Yale is Mount Harvard and Mount Columbia. The Arkansas River Valley can be seen in the far right of the photo. |
